The Configurations Administrator is responsible to enter, update and maintain customer’s TDPs (Technical Data Package), including all engineering requests that change the BOM (Bill of Material).  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain drawing and BOM packages for assigned customers
  • Generate BOMs from customer supplied parts list and print packages for new solicitations and jobs
  • Maintains organized filing system for all print packages. Stores and archives all electronic documents on network server
  • Initiates, monitors, and implements BOM change notifications
  • Implements, maintains, and archives all change notices for internal and external requests including ECN (Engineering Change Notice), ECP (Engineering Change Proposal) /ECO (Engineering Change Orders), NOR (Notice of Revision) and other requested changes
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • AS degree in mechanical design, business, manufacturing technology, accounting or IS, preferred
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings, preferred
  • Ability to utilize rule-based logic to convert parts lists to BOMs
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
