    The Central Flow team provides critical operational insights to the Amazon Fulfillment Technology team and works with leaders to develop advanced and intuitive automated flow control for Amazon operations. Central Flow is comprised of multiple business verticals each tasked with monitoring and overseeing different aspects of daily operations throughout Amazon's fulfillment network. Central Flow Leads are responsible for monitoring and managing these workflow functions from a remote centralized location in Tempe, Arizona.

    This position is NOT remote and DOES require you to be onsite at AZA3 in Tempe, AZ .

    Key areas of responsibility include researching issues, analyzing them and implementing solutions for FC's within North America. This role will be responsible for implementation, participation in pilots, fixing bugs, and feedback of AR Flow tools developed by AFT. Successful candidates will have a strong blend of project management skills, with an ability to conduct in-depth analyses, think big, and identify strategic opportunities. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of execution in a large-volume business environment and an ability to lead at a strategic level, and diving deeply into business and technical domains. The Process Improvement Specialist will create training and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) material for the CF Team and Site Leaders as software continues to evolve.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Technically proficient in automated flow tools such as Online Shift Planner, FMH, and Autoflow. Demonstrated ability to debug escalated plans from Fulfillment Centers.
    • Ability to understand details of outbound shift plans for multiple Fulfillment Centers to root cause problems
    • Thorough understanding of flow settings for multiple process paths in outbound operations for multiple Fulfilment Centers.
    • Deep understanding of flow settings for FC picking systems that include flow pick and batchy pick-paths for multiple FCs with different volume and demand patterns.
    • Ability to effectively identify and communicate detailed technical issues. Work with central partners, site operators, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
    • Assist AFT Team(s) to develop Automated Flow tools - Work with Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) team by providing the team with proofs of concept and/or detailed barriers and operational details. The feedback will become input parameters of new automated flow software enhancements.
    • Suggest and test new software systems deployed by the AFT team and provide feedback in a detailed manner leading to network-wide deployment of the tool.
    • Work well in a team environment remotely and act as an advisor. Development and Coaching
    • Teach and advise CF team members and Site Leaders on complex flow exceptions and deep dives with accurate causes, providing big-picture solutions.
    • Responsible for continuous utilization and minor development of software and standard work tools as they relate to pick/flow management (i.e. monitoring backlog, workflow, department capacity, Premium and Standard charge, etc.)
    • Effectively develop and implement training for new Standard Work for Central Flow and Site Leaders.
