A Configuration Manager job is currently available at Belcan onsite in either Huntsville, AL. This job is a full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need an Active Secret Clearance, Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of previous configuration management experience. This position will manage be responsible for overseeing and managing the integrity and control of product information, ensuring compliance with standards and requirements. Experience with defense and aerospace standards and procedures is preferred. Due to the nature of the work begin performed, US Citizenship is required. Job Duties: * Develop and maintain configuration management plans, processes, and procedures ensuring compliance with industry standards such as (but not limited to): AS9100, ISO-9001, MIL-STD, and customer contractual requirements. * Familiarity with Military and industry configuration management standards such as MIL-HDBK-61, EAI-649, ISO 10007, and CMMI. * Serve as the configuration management subject matter expert, mentoring team members and advising leadership on strategy, risk, and compliance gaps. * Review, develop, and recommend improvements to existing configuration, change, and release management policies and procedures. * Manage and maintain Bills of Material, drawings, revision history, and part number schemes within PLM/ERP systems. * Drive adoption of modern configuration management practices and tools, including PLM/ERP integration, digital thread initiatives, and process automation. * Interface with suppliers and customers to ensure proper flow-down of contractual and mission assurance requirements. * Support program reviews, customer audits, and government inspections, serving as the configuration management representative. * Lead or support cross-functional Change Control Boards and Engineering Review Boards. * Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to ensure configuration integrity. * Support the release and revision control of engineering drawings, specifications, and software. * Ensure compliance with export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR) in documentation and data handling. * Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and subject matter experts, as well as work with external partners/vendors. * Administer configuration management / data management services on the Windows platform. * Provide regular reporting of system health and evaluate additional monitoring procedures. * Supervise associated configuration management personnel in support of the program. Required: *DoD Secret Clearance *Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business discipline or equivalent experience. *4+ years of configuration management experience, including experience with DoD Configuration standards and procedures, data management, file management systems, and common engineering design/development software. *3 years of experience as the configuration management Manager or manager for an aerospace & defense program *Demonstrated ability to support process improvements, streamline CM workflows, and implement tool upgrades. *Experience with PTC Windchill *Proficiency in Microsoft Suite * U.S. Citizenship only Preferred: *Experience with SolidWorks, Cameo, and other design/development software *Proficiency in Visio We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $100,000 to $145,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
