As a Concrete Superintendent at Thompson, your primary responsibility will be to manage on-site concrete operations by directing self-performed crews, subcontractors, and other project personnel. Typical duties include: - Directing and leading multiple crews spread across different projects
- Traveling to jobsites and ensuring project deadlines are being met
- Conducting regular inspections of work to ensure quality standards are met
- Developing cost-effective plans and timelines for project completion
- Creating budgets and proposals for material, equipment and labor force
- Obtaining proper permits, licenses, and other important documentation
- Working with Project Engineers to submit invoices, warranties & waivers
- Identifying and addressing any and all safety violations or deficiencies
- Providing regular updates to support staff and company leadership
- Generates work schedules for crew members and subcontractors
- Conducts daily meetings with Foremen and other Project Leaders
- Conducting post-project evals to identify “lessons learned” for the future
Requirements: - A min of 3-5 years of project management experience (or relevant degree)
- Must have structural and vertical concrete experience
- Excellent verbal, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Bluebeam, ProCore, etc.)
- Ability to operate various pieces of construction equipment
- OSHA 30 Certification (will train, if necessary)
- CPR & First Aid Certification (will train, if necessary)
