We're seeking a motivated Field Engineer / Project Engineer to support commercial concrete construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams while developing expertise in project coordination, scheduling, quality control, and construction operations.

Description

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents in the planning and execution of commercial concrete construction projects.
  • Assist with project scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and material tracking.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure field accuracy.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, production tracking, and cost monitoring.
  • Conduct field inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and assist with schedule updates and reporting.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all project sites.
  • Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.

Profile

  • 0-5 years of construction experience, preferably with a commercial general contractor or concrete contractor.
  • Internship or co-op experience in commercial construction is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or scheduling software is a plus.
  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field and travel locally between project sites as needed.
