They will work as part of an overall team of support, software, and system engineers to ensure high availability of the combat system software for the Canadian Navy.

This person would be primarily responsible for:

  • Linux and Windows Desktop Support
  • Provide front end user support to Combat System Integration (CSI) In-Service Support (ISS) staff
  • Investigate hardware and software issues in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Hardware installation and cabling by detailed instructions
  • Repairing PC equipment

  • 0-3 years experience
  • Desktop support troubleshoot computer, printer and audio/visual issues
  • Software support troubleshoot software issues on Linux and Windows
  • Deploy and cable personal computers and accessories
  • Virtual Desktop Environment support
  • Participate in the purchase of desktop hardware and software
  • Maintain inventory of computer hardware and software
  • Complete trouble tickets on software and hardware issues
  • Ensure conference room functionality
  • Provide user support to CSI ISS Program staff
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance printers
  • Working with a team of system engineers, software developers, test engineers and customer representatives to support software development efforts, and integration and test efforts
  • Inventory control of hardware assets and software licenses
  • Virtual Workstation support
  • Recommend hardware solutions for equipment replacements
  • Troubleshoot common PC issues
  • Procurement experience
