Job Description The computer support specialist position will provide technical support to University Advancements faculty and staff. The incumbent will have duties to include basic support for departmental computing devices; routine upkeep, maintenance, and supply of workgroup printers, copiers, and fax machines; communication of needs to the Director of Systems Administration and Technology Support; monitoring of incoming service requests and ensuring appropriate escalations are performed; and maintaining proper documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting and maintaining personal computers running business applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Significant experience providing technical support both in person and remotely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Consistent track record of being responsible, reliable, and professional.
  • Demonstrated ability to be discreet when exposed to confidential or sensitive information.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution, or a sufficient combination of education and experience to be equivalent to a Bachelors degree.
  • Experience managing enterprise software updates (ECM, Kaseya, BigFix, Jamf, etc.).
  • Experience with inventory control or fixed assets management.
  • Experience supporting users in an enterprise environment consisting of both PC and Apple computers.

Salary Information $46,000 - $51,000
