Introduction

The Maryland Military Department is looking for a candidate to fill our Computer Info Services Specialist I position. This position will serve as the eMaint Manager for the agency! Main Purpose of Job

To evaluate, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the eMaint Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and the data integrity across the Maryland National Guard Facilities Management Branch (FMB). This position is the primary system administrator and data steward for eMaint, ensuring that all work orders (WOs) are accurately created, categorized, prioritized, tracked, and closed in a timely manner across all FMB sites and regions statewide.

In addition, this position leads the quarterly eMaint Backlog Assessment process â analyzing open WO data by priority, age, trade category, site, and region â and produces actionable reports and recommendations that enable FMB leadership to reduce overdue WOs, mitigate life-safety risks, and shift toward a proactive preventive maintenance posture.

POSITION DUTIES

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

· Plan, coordinate, and conduct training programs for microcomputer users and eMaint systems end users.Â

· Manage and control inventory of microcomputer hardware and software.Â

· Monitor customer service requestÂ

· Coordinate the maintenance and modifications of computer system applications.Â

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Â Â Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining personal computer hardware and software.Â

Notes:Â

1. Candidates may substitute experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers, or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, data base or other applications on a year-for-year basis for the required education.Â

2. Candidates may substitute nine credit hours in personal computer applications at an accredited college, university or institution for one year of the required experience.Â

3. Candidates may substitute the completion of a certification program in computer repair, such as Microsoft A+ or an  equivalent program for one year of the required experience.Â

  1. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience utilizing an eMaint Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or an equivalent system.

  2. Experience monitoring customer service requests and work orders.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operatorâs license valid in the State of Maryland with less than 5 points to operate a state vehicle.
