Computer Assembly Technician in Round Rock, TX 78665

Monday-Friday 8am-430pm

Job Summary:

Computer Assembly is responsible for accurately building orders within specific timeframes. This position requires maintaining a consistent communication line with their trainer and being able to follow written or verbal instructions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work as part of a team assembling computer hardware 
  • Read and understand bill of materials (BOMs) and part numbers 
  • Understand and be familiar with all of the Manufacturing processes and materials including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and manufacturing software 
  • Use build guides, integrate computer components into a variety of computers 
  • Perform repairs and triaging on the assembly line and report breakdowns in a timely manner to the Quality Manager 
  • Work with imaging software to update BIOS, load drivers, and operating systems 
  • Follow and be knowledgeable of ESD safety procedures 
  • Understand and follow 5S procedures

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ plus years of experience with computer assembly
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, components, and of basic electronics theory 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to recognize moderately complex problems and take responsibility for resolving them 
  • Detailed oriented 
  • Quick learner
