Job Summary:
Computer Assembly is responsible for accurately building orders within specific timeframes. This position requires maintaining a consistent communication line with their trainer and being able to follow written or verbal instructions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team assembling computer hardware
- Read and understand bill of materials (BOMs) and part numbers
- Understand and be familiar with all of the Manufacturing processes and materials including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and manufacturing software
- Use build guides, integrate computer components into a variety of computers
- Perform repairs and triaging on the assembly line and report breakdowns in a timely manner to the Quality Manager
- Work with imaging software to update BIOS, load drivers, and operating systems
- Follow and be knowledgeable of ESD safety procedures
- Understand and follow 5S procedures
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3+ plus years of experience with computer assembly
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, components, and of basic electronics theory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to recognize moderately complex problems and take responsibility for resolving them
- Detailed oriented
- Quick learner
