Requirement:
Hands-on Implementation / installation experience on server hardware platforms such as Dell x86 servers, HPE Gen9 and Lenovo think systems rack servers.
Expertise in system administration (Linux, Windows, ESX)
Expertise in configuring devise console iDRAC, XCC and ILO
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving iDRAC, XCC and ILO issues
Experience in server rack and stack, hardware configurations, power requirements of physical servers.
Experience with server backend cabling and network cabling
Experience in (HPE Integrated Lights-Out_iLO) and Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) management
Configuration of firmware, utilities and drivers
Able to troubleshoot bugs, configurations errors and coordinate with the OEMs and product teams for open tickets
Excellent troubleshooting skills on HPE, Lenovo & Dell
Through knowledge of server hardware components including HDD, Network interface, HBA cards, Memory,UEFI etc.
Expertise in server management software such as Dell Open Manage, HPE OneView smart update manager.
Experience in replacing CPUs, DIMMs, power supplies, or other server hardware.
Basic knowledge of VMWare and virtualization
Certifications in one or more of the following server hardware HPE, Dell, Lenovo.
Remote hands-on expertise on server hardware and deployments
Scope of Services, SLAs, and KPIs
Requires traveling to sites
Engineers also need to provide support for server pre and post installation tasks for other regions, if they are not fully occupied
Work can also include server hardware upgrades, fault resolution, fault reporting on non-live servers.
Travel between Data Centres as and when required.
Knowledge of Dell, Lenovo and HPE x86 technology essential.
Knowledge of Smarts (propriety ticketing tool) , ServiceNow, NLyte, Appeture, Teams, Outlook, Zoom.
Outcome or Critical Deliverable
Outcome is servers physically installed, Firmware updated, Prechecks carried out, troubleshooting performed both during and after initial handover to customers.
