Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • We are seeking a skilled Compressor Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining, repairing, and installing compressors and related equipment.
     
    Special focus to be placed on:
    • Inspect and install gauge lines, tubing and fittings
    • safe operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and modification of engines, compressors, dehydration, and other ancillary equipment
    • operate (start / stop) dehy, station, aux equipment, gas processing equipment, compressors, maintain adequate liquid levels, lubrication
    • assist ET, CMA, CMB on PM, repairs, projects,
    • report utility outages to appropriate group
    • Ability to Troubleshoot and install various types of equipment <50 Volts
    • Assists in the testing of emergency shutdown devices and systems
    • Makes operating adjustments, records data in both log sheets and electronic work management data collection systems as needed
    • Assist Install, maintain and test relief valves for OPP
    • Assist Install, maintain and test slam-shut OPP devices
    • Work in On Call Rotation (when deemed qualified)
    • Operation of portable test equipment designed for spot sampling moisture, H2S, O2, including pulling Draeger tubes, MRU, Gas Tract, etc.
    • Accurately completes and submits various reports in a timely manner. Performs other tasks such as refilling fluids and checking tank levels, drains fluids from scrubbers, separators and skids, housekeeping and cleaning and maintaining of facilities and grounds.
    • Accurately completes and submits various reports in a timely manner.
    • Install calibrate/configure all engine/compressor I/O devices such as 02 sensor, detonation sensors pressure and temperature transmitters, etc.…
    • Perform ESD Test and maintain appropriate records
    • Perform routine PMs unassisted, make repairs to units, aux equipment, dehy equipment, and all other station equipment including MLVs.
    • Leads and coordinates major station projects, including overhauls and upgrades. Preforms comprehensive analysis of engine, compressor, dehydration and all other ancillary equipment for performance and efficiencies.
    • Operates repairs and troubleshoots manual and automated controls on compressor units to optimize compressor throughput.
    • Monitors the availability of compressors units. Has a robust understanding of safety and operational practices.
Qualifications:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Compressor Tech
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
  • Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
  • Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
  • Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
  • Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
  • Lifts or carries 85 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
  • Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline

Driver Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
  • This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
