Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to operate the EVAL production lines in a safe and competent manner. Daily tasks include loading raw materials, operating twin screw extruders and associated machinery, and packaging into finished product.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high professional standard regarding quality of products, customer service, reliability of equipment, and housekeeping.
- Ability to work as a valued team member in a diverse, fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Conduct routine inspections and cleaning of equipment.
- Perform material handling duties, including forklift operations.
- Perform daily calibrations on equipment.
- Perform QC analysis on raw materials and finished products.
- Understand and comply with all regulatory and company procedures and policies.
- Attend and participate in scheduled safety training, operational training, and employee meetings.
- Assist mechanical with repairs as required.
- Work a day and night 12 hour rotating shift including weekends and holidays (DuPont schedule). Overtime as needed.
- Become a member of the Emergency Response Team (3 year commitment).
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, production, or similar industrial environment preferred.
- Previous extrusion experience and knowledge preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate issues, updates, and concerns to supervisors and team members.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and stairs.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and accuracy.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules based on business needs.
