Compound Semiconductor Laser Fabrication Technician
Location: Stafford, TX
Compensation: $14.50 – $19.50 DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day & Night shift

A day in this role
Picture starting your shift with a handoff from wafer processing engineers, reviewing fabrication plans for InP and GaAs devices. You’ll move from microscope work to data capture, then back to delicate handling and assembly steps that bring semiconductor lasers to life. Throughout the day you’ll document results, organize computer files, and collaborate to keep builds on track.
What you will do
- Partner with wafer processing engineers to fabricate InP and GaAs semiconductor lasers.
- Execute hands-on tasks across the semiconductor laser fabrication process.
- Operate inspection tools to collect measurements and analyze results.
- Maintain organized digital records and structured computer file systems.
What you bring
- Previous experience in semiconductor wafer processing (preferred).
- Fine-motor skill with microscopes, tweezers, and related tools for delicate compound semiconductor wafers.
- Comfort with computers for data entry, analysis, and file organization.
