InfuSystem offers Oncology, Pain Management and Wound Care therapies, including Negative Pressure Wound Therapy. The company's Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Services are composed of direct payer rentals, pump and consumable sales, and biomedical services and repair, including on-site and depot services. Biomedical services include both on-site and depot preventive maintenance, repair and warranty services, ranging from equipment inspections to extensive repairs, including compression device systems, defibrillators, EKG machines, electrosurgical units, external pacemakers, humidifiers, infusion pumps, LCDs, light sources, modules, patient monitors, printers, pulse oximeters, telemetry transmitters and tourniquets - all completed to factory specifications.

SUMMARY:
Assure the company remains compliant with regulations and internal compliance policies and supports activities consistent with company objectives. This role supports the Sr. Director of Compliance and Quality in all daily quality activities as detailed below.
IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Assures the organization remains compliant with CMS Supplier Standards, CHAP Healthcare accreditation requirements, HIPAA, and Compliance programs through performing internal audits, and assessing areas for further development. This includes conducting opening and closing meetings, preparing, and presenting final audit reports, and documenting findings in QA software. Maintains annual audit schedule and sees the schedule through to completion. Assures all findings are addressed within 30 days and sees all findings through to completion including follow up. May assist on other audits, as assigned.
- Responsible for receipt and documentation of patient complaints and assures adherence to response and resolutions times.
- Remains vigilant in HIPAA Privacy rules and Healthcare Compliance regulations and stays current on any changes including proposed changes to regulations.
- Supervises and assists as needed with document control administration for all compliance documentation which includes HME policies for CHAP accreditation, HIPAA and Healthcare Compliance manuals, policies, and all supporting work instructions/forms/records under document control.
- Coordinates with the Quality Assurance Manager to schedule quarterly Quality and Performance Improvement Reviews. Presents to cross function audience on the topics of complaint trends, compliance trends, and satisfaction survey results; Reviews and approves meeting Assures follow up items are addressed in a timely manner for responsible areas. Remains vigilant in all follow up activities to assure current status and compliance.
- Researches licensing and accreditation requirements for new products or new business segments.
- Performs thorough and complete investigation of compliance incidents; Gathers supporting evidence and is details in PHI exposure if any; Documents risk assessment; May assist in composing correspondence in such incidents. Supports the VP of Compliance and Quality by assuring reported incident details are complete by following up with department leaders. Reviews corrective actions with VP and ensures completion and accurate documentation. Tracks and trends compliance incident types and reports on monthly and during quarterly reviews.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees and provides daily direction to Compliance Specialist.
- Supervises the Maintenance of applicable federal, state, and business licenses for all business segments to include state Boards of Pharmacy, HME/wholesale licenses for Submits renewal applications and remains vigilant in any changes in state licensing requirements. Follows up closely on license statuses and communicates with Contracting as applicable.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college; 2-4 years' previous experience operating in a healthcare related field in a regulatory or compliance position. Experience and knowledgeable in healthcare accreditation is required.
