Compliance Officer
Haugland Group, a privately owned Long Island, New York-based electrical and heavy civil construction company, has an immediate need for a full-time MWDBE and EEO Compliance Officer. The position will be based out of our main office in Melville, NY.
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and highly organized individual to join the Project Support team to provide all facets of MWDBE and EEO compliance governance, including submittal processing, material management, and budget analysis.

Key Functions:
• Collaborate with Project Support and Workforce Development teams to track, measure, report, and evaluate vendor diversity goal contractual obligations. • Developing and monitoring participation goals for MWDBE and EEO categories. • Monitoring and reporting on MWDBE utilization commitments and workforce participation. • Reviewing procurement and contract documents to ensure they include the required MWDBE and EEO provisions. • Conducting virtual and in-person vetting to evaluate a businesss legitimacy and capabilities. • Preparing reports for oversight agencies and compiling supporting documentation. • Responding to inquiries from the public and businesses regarding MWDBE certification programs. • Participate in pre-bid, pre-award, and pre-construction meetings to inform the team of the MWDBE policies and EEO requirements. • Review reports containing information as to the employment practices, policies, programs, and statistics of consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers. • Monitor and evaluate contracts, subcontracts, invoices, purchase requisitions, and other documentation for compliance with the customers MWDBE and EEO policies. • Maintain database to produce registry of MWDBE companies. • Work with estimating to identify MWDBEs for BIDS and Proposals.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in Supplier or Workforce Development in government, private, or public sector. Experience with government reporting. Excellent interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented. Candidate must have good analytical skills. Ability to work in a working environment and prioritize work assignments. Work effectively with a diverse workforce.

Compensation range for this role is $85-110k.
