SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Risk & Compliance, the Compliance Manager supports overall compliance with all Health Center Program requirements and other applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Essential Job Duties
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local regulatory requirements affecting health center operations.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor the organization's compliance program by monitoring updates, managing policy reviews, tracking regulatory changes, and ensuring integration into policies and workflows.
- Conduct compliance audits, reviews, monitoring activities, and gap analyses.
- Assist in coordinating HRSA Operational Site Visit readiness activities and corrective action tracking.
- Utilizes expertise in the HRSA Electronic Handbook (EHB) system to create and ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation and information.
- Manage the review, approval, maintenance, and updating of organizational policies and procedures.
- Review and support compliance-related training and education activities.
- Monitor compliance elements related to CLIA, credentialing, privileging, and other regulated clinical activities.
- Provide organization-wide education, training, and consultation on compliance requirements, regulatory changes, policies, and best practices to support a culture of compliance and accountability.
- Partner with the Risk Manager on compliance and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis regarding regulatory, compliance, and legal issues.
- Monitors and assesses current and future NHC projects for compliance risks by attending project meetings, performing pre-launch reviews and maintaining compliance logs.
- Provide compliance reports, dashboards, and updates to leadership as requested.
- Assist in reviewing sliding fee discount program relating to regulatory compliance.
- Support Credentialing team in maintenance of credentialing and privileging portals in the EHB.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
- Must have at least 3 years' experience working in healthcare, preferably in a patient-centered or community health center environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be qualifying.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position is full-time, and will typically work Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with the ability to have a flexible schedule that generally falls within core business hours.
- This position will generally sit for long periods of time.
- This position may travel to other clinics to attend meetings or complete audits and reviews.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Regularly sit while working on the computer; use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls; repeat the same movements when entering data; ability to differentiate between colors, shades, and brightness; read from a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Frequently stand and walk around the office to gather supplies, required to do filing, use office equipment, or collaborate with employees.
- Occasionally stand, stoop and lift or move objects, equipment and supplies weighing approximately 20-25 pounds up to 40-50 pounds.
