The Compliance (Environmental Health and Safety) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing Environmental Health and Safety requirements, risk management, and control frameworks across Tellworks Logistics' warehouse operations, with a clear expectation of hands-on, on-the-floor engagement. This role requires direct involvement in daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put‑away, picking, stocking, packing, shipping, product inspection, cargo handling, inventory control and order fulfilling—to ensure controls are consistently executed and effective in practice, not just in design.The position ensures that operational and regulatory controls are aligned with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, OSHA requirements, and industry best practices. The Compliance (Environmental Health and Safety) Manager is expected to actively test controls, identify gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in real time with warehouse teams.This role also supports SOC type 1 and 2 audit readiness and business continuity and disaster recovery (including testing), while working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), operations leadership, IT, and external auditors to ensure compliance is fully embedded in warehouse execution.Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Environmental Health Safety and Operational ComplianceEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations (29 CFR) and applicable ISO standards (ISO 45001 / 14001) through aligned safety systemsOversee workplace safety programs including forklifts, racking integrity, and pedestrian traffic controlsConduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident prevention initiatives across site operationsTranslate regulatory requirements into practical procedures and enforceable controls at the distribution center levelMaintain audit-ready documentation, incident reporting, and safety recordsPartner with site leadership to promote a strong safety culture and continuous compliance improvementCompliance, Risk Management, and Audit ReadinessSupport the enterprise compliance program design under guidance of the Chief Compliance OfficerMaintain compliance frameworks across multi-site warehouse operationsCoordinate internal audits, compliance testing, and regulatory reviewsIdentify gaps, document deficiencies, track corrective actions, and report resultsSOC 1 and SOC 2 ComplianceSupport SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 examinationsDesign, document, and test control activities aligned to trust service criteriaMaintain narratives, risk control matrices, and supporting evidenceCoordinate management responses and remediation plansIT General Controls (ITGC)Oversee access management controls including provisioning, deprovisioning, and periodic reviewsMonitor change management controls for systems supporting warehouse operationsValidate system operations controls including backups, logging, and monitoringBusiness Continuity and Disaster RecoveryFacilitate tabletop exercises and functional BCDR testingTrack findings and ensure remediation is completedCAPA ProcessManage identified repeat failures and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.Warehouse Operations Compliance OversightThe Compliance (Environmental Health and Safety) Manager must be a hands‑on, on-the-floor operator who directly oversees compliance and control execution across all core warehouse processes, including receiving, put‑away, picking, stocking, shipping, product inspection, cargo handling, inventory control (full and cycle counts), packing, and order fulfillment. This role is expected to actively identify risks, validate and test controls in real time, and hold operations accountable for consistent execution. The Compliance (Environmental Health and Safety) Manager must continuously monitor performance, document results, and drive immediate remediation where gaps are identified.Risk Management and ControlsIdentify and assess operational risks across warehouse and supporting systems. Implement preventive controls such as system access restrictions, approvals, and training requirements. Apply detective controls including reconciliations, audits, exception reports, and monitoring dashboards.Audit and ReportingPrepare audit schedules, coordinate walkthroughs, collect and validate evidence, and track remediation activities. Provide regular reporting on audit status, findings, and compliance metrics.Qualifications and SkillsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or relevant compliance certification strongly preferredMinimum of 8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles, preferably within warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environmentsStrong working knowledge of warehouse operations, OSHA, labor and employment laws and safety and environmental regulations, logistics‑related compliance requirements, and relevant industry standardsProven experience building and managing compliance programs in multi‑site and/or multi‑state organizationsExcellent analytical, documentation, problem‑solving, and communication skillsAbility to travel domestically up to 30%Lean Six Sigma background preferredPreferred CertificationsISO‑based certifications strongly preferredCIA PreferredTools and SystemsWarehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, GRC and Artificial Intelligence tools.Pay within the stated range will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and geographic location.#J-18808-Ljbffr
