Position: Compliance Coordinator


Reports To: Compliance Manager


Job Description: The Compliance Coordinator supports the Compliance Manager in ensuring that Theraplant's production facility operates in full compliance with Connecticut's cannabis regulations and applicable local guidelines. This role involves assisting in the development of regulatory guides, conducting audits, and providing day-to-day regulatory support. The Compliance Coordinator will be instrumental in helping to maintain and implement compliance protocols, ensuring all operations align with state and local cannabis rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated on Connecticut cannabis regulations, analyze impact, and support SOP updates.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining an efficient compliance system.
  • Ensure compliance with Connecticut cannabis laws and regulations.
  • Support development and implementation of company-wide policies and SOPs.
  • Maintain and update Theraplant SOPs.
  • Develop and oversee compliance training for employees.
  • Participate in internal audits, identify gaps, and assist with external audit preparation.
  • Assist Compliance Manager during DCP inspections.
  • Support creation and execution of CAPAs from audits.
  • Track and review training for compliance with cannabis and federal regulations (GMP, GDP, GLP, HACCP, OSHA).
  • Collaborate on packaging and labeling updates to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and maintain compliance logs.
  • Support management of recalls and health/safety issues.
  • Ensure facility safety programs are current and compliant (e.g., fire extinguisher checks, eyewash station refills).
  • Assist Compliance Manager with regulatory submissions.
  • Oversee seed-to-sale data accuracy and address system deficiencies with Bio Track/Flourish.
  • Maintain reports, data management, tracking logs, and systems.
  • Develop relationships with state regulatory agency representatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.







Job Requirements:

  • 1+ Year of Compliance Experience
  • 2-3 years inventory experience
  • Experience with Cannabis seed-to-sale platforms preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency with new software
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills

Compensation: Dependent upon experience
