Role Overview
A cornerstone of Compliance & Ethics (Compliance, the Investigator, Compliance & Ethics (Investigator) leads the active management of the Company's anonymous reporting tool; conducts, manages, and provides oversight of investigations; supports reporting to the senior management, the Company's Board, and the parent company; drives cross-coordination across departments; advises on and drives corrective actions; and acts as a trusted point of contact to address statutory/regulatory and ethical concerns.
The Investigator will lead a Compliance program in accordance with U.S. and international standards, guidelines and expectations of governmental entities and the Board. The Investigator will inspire the trust of employees at all levels, actively embody the Company's values, and ensure that concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation, and protect anonymity as appropriate. The investigator is critical to ensure that the Company complies with all applicable government authorities, internal policies, the Company's values, and supports good governance in an international environment.
The Investigator, will be expected to perform any other duties that may be directed by the CCO or may generally be expected from a Compliance department, to include the assignment of new duties and responsibilities, in a Company that manufactures and develops advanced technology, operates in a global environment, and is subject to oversight by various government agencies both in the U.S. and globally.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements
Graduate degree in compliance or formal education in law required, preference for Juris Doctorate and licensed attorney, or relevant combination of professional certifications in compliance, related education, and experience.
5 years of demonstrable experience in managing an anonymous reporting tool, associated program and policy; conducting independent investigations; preparing investigative reports and presentations; and in remediating risks and driving corrective actions.
Demonstrable experience or education in compliance as a discipline, and government expectations and guidelines related to compliance programs.
Demonstrable experience and training in the application of statutes/regulations, and in performing legal research.
Strong practical knowledge and expertise in U.S. and international government standards and expectations related to compliance with governmental legal authorities.
Ability to travel internationally and as needed, estimated to not be more than 25%.
