CTG is seeking an experienced Complex Project Manager to lead high-impact transmission projects supporting utility infrastructure, grid reliability, and asset modernization initiatives. This role is responsible for managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion while partnering with engineering, operations, compliance, and IT teams to ensure successful delivery.

 

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 8 months

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead transmission projects involving substations, transmission lines, outage coordination, and grid reliability improvements.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate with transmission engineering, planning, field operations, protection and controls, compliance, and IT teams.
  • Support transmission asset management, facility ratings, inspection programs, outage planning, and system data quality initiatives.
  • Oversee vendor performance, resource planning, governance activities, and change management.
  • Prepare executive status reports and ensure projects meet safety, regulatory, quality, and business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of project management experience leading complex utility, transmission, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electric transmission systems, substations, transmission lines, and grid operations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
  • Utility or energy industry experience strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience will be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $60.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
