Compensation & Benefits Specialist

- Schedule: Fully Onsite | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Position Type: Direct Hire
- Compensation: $75K–$85K + 6% Annual Bonus

We are partnering with a growing healthcare organization in Austin that is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join their HR team! This is a highly visible role reporting directly into HR leadership and will play a key part in supporting compensation structures, benefits administration, HR systems processes, and employee experience initiatives.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in compensation and benefits who is looking for long-term growth and the chance to help build and improve HR programs within a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze compensation and benefits trends to ensure competitive programs and pay practices
- Assist with compensation banding, salary structures, and pay scale development
- Administer employee benefits programs, enrollment processes, and employee support
- Support annual open enrollment planning, communication, and carrier coordination
- Partner with HR leadership and managers on compensation and benefits-related initiatives
- Maintain and update job descriptions and job evaluation structures
- Participate in salary benchmarking and compensation analysis activities
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Support reporting, payroll-related processes, auditing, and HRIS administration
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of compensation experience
- 3+ years of benefits administration experience
- Experience working within HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is a plus)
- Exposure to EDI file feeds or benefits integrations strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
