A consumer products company in New Jersey is seeking a new Compensation Analyst to join their team in Jersey City. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will support the design, administration, and evaluation of global compensation programs across a variety of employee groups.
About the Opportunity:
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 4+ months
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm
Setting: Hybrid (at least 1 day a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
Develop, administer, and ensure compliance of compensation programs for executive, salaried, hourly, retail, and distribution center populations
Partner with Talent Operations on compensation changes, equity programs, merit and promotion cycles, and variable pay programs
Conduct market pricing using external surveys and internal data to benchmark roles and inform pay recommendations
Research and identify market trends to support enhancements to compensation programs
Evaluate job architecture to ensure alignment with business needs and market practices
Classify jobs and assist in creating or updating job family descriptions and leveling frameworks
Conduct internal pay equity and fairness analyses to support consistency across the organization
Review compensation programs for effectiveness, cost impact, and compliance with applicable regulations
Generate reports and conduct trend analysis to inform compensation decisions
Provide systems support-including Workday-related troubleshooting, error handling, and data integrity checks
Recommend system and process improvements based on operational needs
Qualifications:
3+ years of Compensation experience, including work with varied employee types (salaried, hourly, etc.).
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
Familiarity with HRIS and compensation management tools
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in a complex or multinational environment
Workday Advanced Compensation experience
Exposure to equity administration and related systems
