Job Overview
Receives and processes requests from referring community physicians and clinics. Coordinates the visit/test/procedures in the timeframe that the referring physician and the specialist feel is necessary. Schedules patient's post-hospitalization discharge follow-up appointments/tests/procedures within requested time frame. Coordinates all necessary appointments while focusing on excellent patient relations and ensuring compliance with Physician discharge orders. Maximizes the use of UMMC/UMP physicians as referral sources. Coordinates patient care in a way that ensures patients receive timely care and is sensitive to the need for multiple visits. Ability to stay focused and work independently to ensure timely and accurate work in addition to a high level of productivity.
