As an Insurance Agent and agency owner, you will work directly with individuals, families, and business owners to help them protect what matters most through auto, home, business, and life insurance solutions. You will be responsible for developing your client base, delivering exceptional service, and growing your agency within your market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new client relationships through prospecting, networking, referrals, and active involvement in the local community
  • Educate individuals, families, and business owners on insurance solutions that help them protect what matters most
  • Present and sell insurance products, including auto, home, life, business, and related coverage options
  • Build and maintain strong referral partnerships with local businesses, professionals, and community organizations
  • Create and execute a business development plan focused on long-term agency growth
  • Provide exceptional ongoing client service to support retention, trust, and long-term relationships
  • Learn and apply proven sales, marketing, service, and agency operations systems
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals as the agency grows
  • Set clear performance expectations and help team members stay accountable to activity, production, and client service standards
  • Foster a positive, competitive, and professional team culture centered on performance and integrity
  • Track sales performance, client retention, and overall agency growth opportunities
  • Represent the agency with integrity, professionalism, and trust in all client and community interactions
  • Work toward long-term agency ownership and leadership within the community

Requirements
  • Must be willing to obtain required insurance licenses if not already licensed
  • Active Property & Casualty license preferred
  • Active Life & Health license preferred
  • Prior sales experience strongly preferred (insurance, financial services, or related client-facing roles)
  • Insurance experience is helpful, but not required for the right candidate
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust quickly
  • Comfortable with prospecting, networking, and asking for referrals as part of daily activity
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in building and owning a business
  • Ability to set goals, manage time effectively, and stay accountable to results
  • Coachable and open to training, feedback, and proven sales and agency systems
  • Professional, reliable, and trustworthy in all client and community interactions
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to build from the ground up and develop a long-term career
  • Leadership potential with interest in recruiting, developing, and leading a sales team over time
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems preferred
  • Must be able to pass applicable background checks and licensing requirements
