We are looking for a Community Justice Specialist!

Responsibilities

What youll be doing:

  • Supervising clients directly and ensuring they follow program rules
  • Conducting intakes to explain facility and program procedures to new clients
  • Monitoring client living and work areas through formal counts, location checks, and phone searches
  • Maintaining facility safety and security by controlling contraband and performing searches of clients and living spaces
  • Supporting client accountability by monitoring medication use, conducting interviews, and using systems such as NCIC, CCIC, Colorado Courts, and Jail Management
  • Collaborating with community agencies, employers, and others to support client employment, work projects, and community service commitments

  • Two (2) years of higher education or any combination of education, training, or experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
  • Possession of a valid Drivers License by date of hire required.
  • Possession of Adult CPR, First Aid and AED certification within six (6) months of hire is required.

Supplemental Information

Shifts in this position vary. As both Alternative Sentencing and Community Corrections are 24/7 facilities, shifts can include day, swing, overnight, holidays, and/or weekends. Shifts are chosen yearly based on seniority. This position may be subject to on-call/mandatory overtime.

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment checks or testing.
