Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide support to the Community Health Division through outreach education and care coordination and provides health promotion and disease prevention information within the community to reach medically underserved populations and encourage them to adopt healthy behaviors. This position is emergency essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience One year of experience in providing information on health care and disease prevention within the community.

Notes

  1. Candidates may substitute experience providing assistance to individuals in a health care or social services setting on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Health Services classifications or Health Services and specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess the following:

Experience with Microsoft Office and Google services Experience with electronic health records Experience with public speaking

LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATION

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operators license valid in the State of Maryland.
