| Job Description: | The Community Assistant within Housing and Residence Life team is responsible for: - Enhancing and maintain a sense of shared community in the designated residential area by facilitating intentional interactions, social activities, and other opportunities for residents and their families to interact with each other
- Assisting residents in the assigned residential area acting as a referral agent to available resources, services, and facilities on campus
- Planning and implement social, educational and recreational programs collaborating with university partners as needed
- Serving as the first point of contact for current or prospective residents, families, and community members providing information on campus resources and resolving questions or concerns
- Assisting in conflict resolution among residents by educating residents about housing policies and the conduct process
- Fostering a culture of continuous care by serving in an on-call role and supporting our students through effective emergency management procedures
- Serve as a model of responsible behavior to assist residents throughout their UF student experience
- Creating a residential environment that fosters a sense of belonging and encourages residents to utilize departmental and campus resources

| Expected Salary: | $11,100.00 stipend for a 12-month appointment |

- Successful candidates will have a minimum one semester experience at the University of Florida in Gainesville
