TITLE: Community Alignment Specialist
Contractual – Start 8/30/26 – End 8/29/27
POSITION: Full-time - 35 hours – Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
SALARY: $60,000 - Annually
DEPARTMENT: Family Based Interventions – Family Connects Maryland
LOCATION: 2108 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21218
REPORTS TO: Nurse Manager
SUMMARY: This position manages, coordinates, and participates in the development of community resources in partnership with both public and private agencies within the assigned community. This position will participate in existing coalitions and, when needed, establish viable partnerships to plan programs, services and supports designed to meet the needs of families with newborns. This position will collaborate in the development and implementation of the marketing and public relations efforts of Family Connects Maryland. This position will also establish and maintain communications between community resources, physicians, nursing personnel, and other health care professionals regarding program objectives, policies, and procedures and compile/ maintain records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Organize and participate in enrollment scheduling at Sinai Hospital for mom’s that have given birth.
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, or Public Health.
EXPERIENCE:
· Six (6) years progressive experience in early childhood/prevention services. Home visitation experience preferred.
· Knowledge of infant/child development, parent-child attachment, maternal-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
· Experience working in community-based programs preferred.
· Experience and willingness to work with a culturally diverse population.
SKILLS:
· Knowledge of community resources and agencies
· Knowledge of Jewish customs, practices, and traditions
· Knowledge of infant and child development
· Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate clearly and professionally with a range of community stakeholders
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to work independently, as well as in teams.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Must be prepared to travel to various program sites and various communities.
· A driver’s license and insured vehicle is necessary to fulfill the duties and responsibilities for the position.
