Job Title: Communications Specialist – Tower Business Performance Team
Location: Canonsburg, PA (preferred) or Houston, TX (secondary)
Pay Rate: $35/hr W2
Schedule: Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; Work from Home Monday & Friday
Duration: 2 Months (with possible extension)
Travel: None

Job Description
The Communications Specialist will be part of the Tower Business Performance Team, responsible for creating impactful business unit communications that engage employees and influence adoption of organizational goals. This role involves writing, stakeholder engagement, and corporate communications to drive awareness, clarity, and alignment across the business unit.
You will work closely with the Tower Communications team and enterprise Internal Communications to ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and branding while delivering clear and engaging content through multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with subject matter experts to determine communication requirements, content, and target audience.
  • Lead the creation of business unit communications that clearly articulate goals and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement communication plans for assigned projects, including writing and editing content.
  • Deliver communications across a variety of channels (email, Teams, SharePoint, video, Adobe Suite).
  • Use storytelling techniques to increase awareness, productivity, and compliance with processes/tools.
  • Track and summarize communication metrics for effectiveness reporting.
  • Collaborate with corporate Internal Communications to align tone, vocabulary, and enterprise-wide messaging.
  • Promote visibility of business unit accomplishments through consistent and engaging communications.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience developing communications for business initiatives, organizational change, and awareness campaigns.
  • Strong skills in writing, editing, and simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Adobe Suite.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving approach.

Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with communication deliverables for remote, hybrid, and mobile workforces.
  • Ability to conceptualize and design engaging communication materials.
