The Communications Specialist is a full-time, in-person role within University Communications, primarily supporting the College of Agriculture and Montana Agricultural Experiment Station.
They will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and managing content for media releases, publications, websites, and social media, ensuring alignment with communication goals.
The position requires strong writing, editing, and deadline management skills, with experience in diverse styles such as news, marketing, and technical writing.
The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism, communications, or related fields, with experience translating scientific information for general audiences.
They must be creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Additional duties include managing web content, overseeing print publications, supporting events, and assisting with emergency communications.
