Intermediate District 287 is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our Communications department!

Join a communications team that is shaping the future of one of Minnesota''s most innovative and unique school districts. Intermediate District 287 is seeking a collaborative, proactive, and strategic Communications Coordinator who thrives on solving problems, building relationships, and turning ideas into meaningful action.

This is more than a content creation role. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, brings fresh ideas to the table, asks thoughtful questions, and is confident sharing recommendations. The ideal candidate is a trusted thought partner who can anticipate communication needs, manage multiple priorities, and help influence organizational success through clear, engaging, and equitable communications.

Working closely with the Director of Communications and Public Relations, this position plays a key role in planning, developing, and implementing internal and external communications that support the District''s strategic priorities. The Communications Coordinator will create compelling content across multiple platforms, manage the District''s website and social media presence, coordinate communication projects from concept to completion, and partner with leaders across the organization to solve communication challenges and identify opportunities to better engage staff, students, families, and community members.

Successful candidates are comfortable working independently while collaborating with leaders at every level of the organization. They bring strong project management skills, excellent judgment, creativity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Most importantly, they believe that effective communication is a strategic tool for building trust, advancing equity, and improving outcomes for students.

If you are energized by meaningful work, enjoy wearing many hats, and want to make a lasting impact through strategic communications, we''d love to hear from you.
