General Overview:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Communications, assists with community engagement, volunteer recruitment, social media content, and event support to build ADM Board and system of care visibility in the community, whileensuring a lens toward health equity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform essential duties to expected performance standards. The County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADM) Board is an Equal Opportunity Employer. o Assists with planning, organizing, and promoting special events, such as community-based resource events, as they occur. As such, this position supports events through recruiting, training volunteers, and supporting agency staff to ensure positive agency publicity.
o Supports ADM Board speaker's bureaus, including scheduling, tracking, and providing resources for speakers' use.
o Represents the ADM Board on committees, special projects, and at events as needed.
o Assists in the promotion of ADM Board-sponsored events, including trainings, through marketing and promotion.
o Supports ADM Board's public recognition and resource distribution through attending and participating in events with the engagement and coordination of community partners, including the implementation, staffing of community events, preparing event kits, and event logistics.
o Researches, produces, schedules, analyzes, and monitors content on ADM Board websites and social media platforms including but not limited to Meta, Canva Tools, and other tracking software.
o Creates and maintains annual lists and calendar of relevant observances and awareness campaigns for agency-wide use. Works with county partners to encourage participation across county offices in support of awareness campaigns.
o Supports the development of new partnerships and outreach opportunities that align with the ADM Board's priorities and global ends.
o Oversees requests for materials, information, and other inquiries from constituents and partners, including ADM social media platforms and websites, as appropriate.
o Collaborates with other staff to develop internal and external communications with an emphasis on digital platforms.
o Responsible for collateral educational materials for distribution, including maintaining inventory, obtaining price quotes, working with vendors, preparing the availability, placing orders, and ensuring that timely and relevant materials are available.
o Serves as part of the internal communication team for the ADM Board levy campaign, including community presentations.
o Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and works overtime as required to meet workload demands. Must be able to adhere to flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend assignments.
o Demonstrates a commitment to fostering a respectful, welcoming, and collaborative workplace culture and promotes these values throughout the community as a representative of the ADM Board.

Confidential Data:
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive records and treatment information, client files and protected health information in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and established procedures.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a typical office environment with minimal exposure to dirt and dust and occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and occasionally moderate with typical office sounds and conversations of others able to be heard throughout the office area.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently exhibits manual dexterity when working on the computer, and frequently talks and hears when working with job contacts. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision, with the ability to adjust focus when typing and reading a computer screen and documents.

o Ability to safely and successfully perform the position's essential duties and responsibilities consistent with ADA, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productive standards.
o Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
o Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds when moving files, boxes, equipment and other items.
o Must be able to hear, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.

o Ability to: Maintain and promote good public relations; develop and maintain effective working relationships; handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public; originate correspondence; maintain confidentiality of nonpublic or sensitive information; work independently demonstrating initiative; exhibit flexibility; coordinate multiple activities and tasks; meet deadlines; maintain accurate and complete work records.
o Skill in: Verbal and written communication; editing and proofreading; use of Office Suite; social media and other web-based applications; planning, scheduling and organizing events; general typing; operating standard office equipment.

Qualifications:
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
o Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Related Field and three to five years of community outreach/engagement experience; or Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience.
o Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.

o A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
