GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH), Division of Healthcare Financing (Division) is seeking a Communications and Outreach Coordinator. This position serves as the Division's central communications facilitator for inquiries and complaints received from the Director's Office, Governor's Office, and Congressional Offices, and processes Public Records Requests. This position provides training and educational support to Medicaid Staff, Members, and Providers through the development and facilitation of training and materials by collaborating with Division subject matter experts. This role is integral to the Divisions provider recruitment and retention initiatives, serving as the primary point of contact for outreach and leading strategic outreach efforts.
This position is an At-Will Employment Contract (AWEC) and includes a single Health Insurance plan. This position pays for actual hours worked and is limited to 40 hours per week. The position does not include paid vacation time, paid sick time, paid holidays, family health insurance, State retirement contributions, or other benefits. These items are not negotiable by the hiring manager.

Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference given to candidates with a bachelors degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
Preference given to candidates with experience in graphic design, publications, website maintenance, and other forms of multimedia.
Preference given to candidates with 1-3 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
Preference given to candidates with working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Pro) as well as the Google Products Suite (e.g., Sheets, Sites)
