Job Title: Mid Level Commissioning Engineer
Location: Pocahontas, Arkansas

Position Overview
A growing engineering and technical services organization is seeking a motivated Mid-Level Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities across a variety of commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects.
This role is ideal for recent graduates of accredited engineering programs who are interested in developing a hands-on technical career supporting complex building and infrastructure systems.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers to test, validate, and document building system performance. The goal is to ensure systems are installed and operating according to design intent, operational requirements, and safety standards.
This position provides valuable exposure to electrical systems, mechanical infrastructure, and building automation technologies, while offering strong career development opportunities in commissioning and mission-critical engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in functional testing of mechanical, electrical, and control systems during commissioning activities
- Support preparation and completion of commissioning documentation, including checklists, test procedures, and reports
- Conduct field observations and participate in site inspections and system walkthroughs
- Collect system performance data and verify proper equipment installation and operational readiness
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment or system performance issues under the guidance of senior engineers
- Maintain accurate and organized test records and commissioning documentation
- Communicate testing results, observations, and findings to project leadership and commissioning teams
- Follow established safety procedures and best practices while working on active job sites
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited engineering program in one of the following or a related field:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Power Engineering
- Marine Engineering
- Architectural Engineering
- Military Experience
Skills and Experience
- Willingness to work in field environments and travel to project sites as required
- Basic familiarity with technical tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Valid drivers license
- Military Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or PLC-based control systems
- Internship, co-op, or laboratory experience involving mechanical or electrical systems
- Basic ability to read construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation
