Job Responsibilities
Manage the commissary operations efficiently and accurately within the guidelines established by the agency.
Supervise daily reporting & accuracy of all commissary supplies, budgeting, ordering, & receiving.
Conduct & document inventory.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels & accurate records.
Supervise employee/inmate workers: screen, select, train & evaluate assigned personnel.
Provide rehabilitation and self- improvement opportunities for inmates.
Manage laundry operations.
Accurately account for laundry turn-in & turn-back.
Determine serviceability of clothing and eligibility of exchange.
Maintain detailed chemical records.
Maintain operation/equipment that is safe and healthy as required by OSHA standards.
Ensure appropriate maintenance is performed.
Administrative functions as assigned/required.
Travel required schedule subject to change.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelors degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services
OR
A bachelors degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
