Picture a tractor-trailer arriving with an intermittent electrical fault and a driveline vibration. You connect JPRO, consult OEM Diagnostic Software on a Windows laptop, confirm readings with a multimeter, and map a repair plan. After completing lube and filter service, you perform a DOT inspection to FMCSA standards, then R&R a clutch and address a steering component to return the unit to service with confidence.

Your impact

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues on tractors and trailers using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostics (JPRO, OEM systems) with multimeters.
• Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance for fleet tractors and trailers.
• Perform DOT inspections in full compliance with FMCSA guidelines.
• Deliver complete PM care: lubrication, filter changes, and inspections—ensuring interior/exterior appearance standards and cab safety/security checks are met.
• Carry out foundational electrical repairs, replacing starters, alternators, and batteries.
• Inspect and replace basic engine components; conduct transmission and clutch R&R; service driveline components.
• Remove and replace steering and chassis components.

Physical readiness

• Lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction.
• Comfortably stand or lie for extended periods.
