    CRE Portfolio Manager Team Lead –Atlanta, GA

    FinTrust Connect has partnered with a well-capitalized regional banking institution to identify top talent for a CRE Portfolio Manager Team Lead opportunity within Commercial Real Estate Lending. This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial real estate credit professional who thrives in a leadership capacity while remaining actively involved in underwriting, portfolio management, and strategic credit decision-making.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
    • 8+ years of commercial real estate underwriting and portfolio management experience with prior people management experience, or 10+ years of CRE underwriting and portfolio management experience without formal management responsibilities
    • Extensive experience underwriting commercial real estate transactions across multiple asset classes
    • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, valuation methodologies, and commercial credit structuring
    • Experience evaluating appraisals, leases, legal documentation, market studies, and borrower financial information
    • Advanced proficiency with Excel financial modeling, Microsoft Office Suite, and commercial credit systems
    • Strong understanding of portfolio risk management, covenant monitoring, loan review processes, and regulatory expectations
    • Excellent communication, coaching, organizational, and leadership skills
    • Ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven lending environment
    Description:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Managers through coaching, performance management, onboarding, and professional development
    • Review underwriting packages, annual credit reviews, and portfolio documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to credit standards
    • Analyze, structure, underwrite, and manage complex commercial real estate lending relationships
    • Monitor portfolio quality, covenant compliance, financial reporting requirements, and credit risk ratings
    • Coordinate portfolio assignments and balance team workload to meet production deadlines and service expectations
    • Lead recurring portfolio management meetings and collaborate with credit leadership on asset quality initiatives
    • Support implementation of updated credit policies, procedures, and operational improvements
    • Assist with regulatory examinations, internal audits, and remediation efforts as needed
    • Build strong partnerships with lending teams and credit professionals to support sound credit decisions and responsive client service
    • Maintain market knowledge through ongoing portfolio oversight and regional market engagement
    • Ensure timely completion of portfolio reviews, exception management, reporting requirements, and internal documentation
    • Promote disciplined portfolio management practices while identifying emerging credit risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies
