We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Commercial Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle including planning, execution, and completion.
  • Manage and coordinate daily onsite activities, ensuring all work is progressing on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Review and understand architectural drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed, creating a safe work environment for all staff and contractors.
  • Manage and resolve any issues, conflicts, or discrepancies that arise during the construction process.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in base building, retail, tenant improvement, scheduling, budgeting, site management, construction management, construction safety, and building codes.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Proficient in using project management software and other relevant computer applications.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must hold relevant certifications in construction safety and building codes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be physically fit and able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
