Job Details

Are you passionate about the construction industry and looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Commercial Superintendent to join our fast-growing team. This role is an integral part of our construction operations, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, construction management, cost control, safety management, and subcontractor management. If you have a knack for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Commercial Superintendent, your key duties will include:

1. Overseeing and directing commercial construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
2. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
3. Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
4. Ensuring all safety guidelines and regulations are strictly adhered to, promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
5. Reviewing work progress on a daily basis, resolving any emerging problems or delays.
6. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
7. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
8. Implementing effective cost control measures to keep the project within budget while maintaining quality.
9. Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status and progress.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a commercial construction superintendent role.
2. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is a plus.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
4. Strong experience in construction project management, including cost control and subcontractor management.
5. Proven track record of successfully completing commercial construction projects.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and lead teams.
7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
8. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices.
9. Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
10. Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.
