Commercial Sheet Metal Fabricator / HVAC Installer (Kitchen Exhaust Systems)


Location: Woodstock, GA (In-Office + Field Work)
Job Type: Full-Time


Position Overview


Hoods Unlimited is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / HVAC Installer with experience in industrial and commercial HVAC systems to support our growing kitchen exhaust hood installation division.


This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, and HVAC system installation who is looking to grow with a fast-paced, expanding company. The position will be heavily involved in the fabrication and installation of commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, and exhaust components.


Key Responsibilities


  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal ductwork and components for commercial kitchen exhaust systems
  • Perform welding and metal fabrication for custom exhaust hood systems
  • Install commercial kitchen hoods, duct systems, exhaust fans, and related components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job specs, and mechanical drawings
  • Ensure all work meets NFPA standards and local code requirements
  • Work alongside installation crews to complete projects on time and to company standards
  • Assist with job site preparation, layout, and material handling
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper condition
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and team members on job progress
Qualifications


  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding (required)
  • Background in commercial or industrial HVAC systems (required)
  • Experience with ductwork fabrication and installation (strongly preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and plans
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
