Estimator – Commercial Roofing

Position Overview
The Commercial Roofing Estimator is responsible for evaluating projects, developing accurate and competitive estimates, and supporting both sales and operations from pre-bid through project closeout. This role is critical to driving profitable growth by ensuring all estimates are thorough, well-scoped, and aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Support business development and sales efforts through technical expertise and client interaction
• Perform roof inspections, site visits, and field assessments for new construction, re-roof, and repair projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and field data to prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, and proposals
• Communicate clearly with clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding scope, pricing, and timelines
• Source and manage pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Track bid activity, follow up on proposals, and assist with value engineering as needed
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless project handoffs
• Maintain organized estimating files, documentation, and CRM records

Qualifications
• 5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and installation methods (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, etc.)
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and perform detailed takeoffs
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Proficient with estimating tools such as EDGE, along with Excel, Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, CRM systems, and related platforms
• Ability to perform roof inspections and field assessments
