Description
Pride Commercial Appliance Service is a repair, installation, and preventative maintenance company. We are seeking to hire a Commercial Refrigeration Technician for our Capital Region district.

Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in refrigeration or experience in servicing walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers, ice machines, and other cold-side appliances.
- Act as lead technician when completing diagnostics & repairs and preventative maintenance on cold-side commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations and facilities.
- Produce accurate and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
- Attend both in-house and national training to become certified by the industry's leading manufacturers.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new Service/Repair Technicians
- Physical & Safety:
- Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, & occasionally lift & carry up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, open flames, and heated surfaces and liquids.
- Ability to follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimium
- Must be at least 18 years of age. 4-8 years of previous experience or training in the fields of Mechanics, HVAC/R, or Electric.
- Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain high-quality customer service and care.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Preferred:
- Trade school or college certification in HVAC/R preferred.
- Certificates i.e. EPA, OSHA10 Etc.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; must be capable of diagnosing issues across multiple equipment types.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
- Bonus if versed in hot side or specialty equipment.
- Highly capable driving skills. Non-aggressive driving manners are key.
