Refrigeration Operations Manager

• Pay Range: $150,000 - $165,000 + Performance Bonus + Company Vehicle/Allowance
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Travel: Up to 25% across Florida, Southeast, and Puerto Rico

How you'll spend your time as a Refrigeration Operations Manager:

• Lead and develop the Project Manager team who own day-to-day project delivery
• Conduct recurring WIP reviews – cost-to-complete, percent-complete, margin variance, projected-to-actual reconciliation
• Hold Project Managers accountable for accurate cost coding, billing, change order capture, and clean job cost data
• Own field manpower scheduling across all active and upcoming Florida projects
• Plan crew needs against backlog and pipeline – flag gaps and overages early
• Oversee execution end to end: estimate handoff, buyout, submittals, mobilization, schedule, quality, punch, closeout
• Forecast labor and revenue using construction best practices – translate backlog into reliable monthly projections
• Oversee Florida technicians performing warranty, startup, and post-installation support work
• Partner with Atlanta estimating on bid strategy, constructability reviews, and lessons-learned feedback
• Deliver disciplined reporting cadence: WIP reviews, manpower schedules, project status, labor forecasts
• Promote safety-first culture – ensure OSHA and company safety program compliance
• Build strong relationships with general contractors, customers, vendors, and equipment suppliers

Skills & experience we'd like you to have as a Refrigeration Operations Manager:

• 7+ years of leadership experience in commercial mechanical construction operations
• 3+ years in supermarket or industrial refrigeration construction
• Demonstrated ownership of WIP reviews, job costing, cost-to-complete analysis, and project financial controls
• Experience managing Project Managers, foremen, and field crews across multiple concurrent projects
• Proven ability to plan and schedule field manpower across geographically dispersed jobsites
• Working command of construction planning and forecasting practices – labor loading, revenue projection
• Strong customer relationship management with general contractors and commercial clients
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including Puerto Rico and Southeast US locations
