A Snapshot of Your Day (Position Overview)

As a Commercial Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting a multi-year factory ramp-up and expansion project by providing financial leadership, commercial oversight, and strategic decision support across multiple project workstreams. Your day may include developing and maintaining financial models, monitoring project expenditures and profitability, conducting scenario and risk analyses, preparing executive-level financial reports, and partnering closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful project execution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, HR, Real Estate, and external partners to drive financial transparency, governance, and business continuity. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence major capital investment decisions and contribute to the successful growth of Siemens Energy's manufacturing footprint.

How You'll Make an Impact (Responsibilities)

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to evaluate project feasibility, profitability, investment performance, and evolving business conditions throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and control project financial performance including CAPEX, OPEX, cash flow, liquidity, purchase orders, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability to ensure compliance with approved financial objectives
  • Partner closely with the Project Manager to provide commercial leadership across multiple project workstreams, proactively identifying risks, resolving financial challenges, and supporting business continuity and project execution
  • Prepare executive financial reports, project reviews, forecasts, and management presentations that provide actionable insights to leadership, steering committees, and key stakeholders
  • Ensure process adherence for Change Management, Claim Management and Risk & Opportunity management and actively ensure accountability of all involved stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners while supporting internal controls, audit activities, governance requirements, and compliance with company financial policies and procedures

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial project management, financial analysis, project controlling, business controlling, or a related finance role supporting complex projects and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, project evaluation, profitability analysis, and financial performance indicators including NPV, IRR, EBITDA, and Payback methodologies
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems, advanced Excel modeling, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau, with the ability to independently manage complex financial analyses and reporting activities
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced project environment and influence business decisions
