Description
The Construction Project Manager will:
- Provide overall leadership and direction to project teams from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Understand, negotiate, and administer contracts and subcontract agreements
- Establish, communicate, and implement project schedules and milestones
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Analyze project reports to ensure adherence to budget and schedule objectives
- Lead project meetings and coordinate all project stakeholders
- Manage procurement activities and subcontractor buyouts
- Oversee the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide leadership during contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and change order management
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to client expectations
Profile
The successful Construction Project Manager will have the following:
- 6+ years of Commercial Construction Project Management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
- Experience managing ground-up and renovation commercial projects
- OSHA certification preferred
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget
