At MiniMed, you can begin a lifelong career of exploration and innovation, while helping make a difference in the lives of people living with diabetes around the globe. You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world.

About the Role

MiniMed is a global leader in diabetes technology, dedicated to transforming lives through innovation. We are on a mission to deliver smarter, more connected solutions that empower people with diabetes to live fuller, more confident lives. As we continue to grow and evolve as an independent company, we are building world-class teams to match our ambition — and that starts with the talent behind our data.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a sharp, curious, and technically skilled Analyst to join our Commercial Excellence & Operations team. This individual contributor role is ideal for someone who is passionate about turning complex data into clear business insights, building scalable analytical tools, and playing a meaningful role in shaping how a high-growth commercial organization makes decisions.

You will sit at the intersection of data, strategy, and commercial execution — supporting forecasting, performance analytics, and operational reporting while contributing to our broader automation and AI agenda. If you love solving hard analytical problems and want your work to directly influence how a world-class sales organization operates, this role is for you.

This positions in hybrid, 3 days per week, onsite in San Antonio, TX

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Commercial Analytics & Insights

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve commercial dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights to sales, marketing, and leadership teams
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on commercial performance — including sales trends, territory performance, customer segmentation, market penetration, and competitive dynamics
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic and tactical decision-making at all levels of the organization
  • Proactively identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities within commercial data and bring forward recommendations with supporting evidence
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and deliver solutions that are both rigorous and accessible
  • Build and maintain a single source of truth for key commercial metrics, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and trust across the organization

Forecasting & Demand Planning Support

  • Support the development and execution of sales forecasting models, including demand planning, revenue projection, and pipeline analysis
  • Maintain and enhance forecasting tools and templates, ensuring they are accurate, repeatable, and aligned to business planning cycles
  • Analyze historical performance data to identify trends and patterns that improve forecast accuracy over time
  • Assist in scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to help leadership understand the range of potential outcomes under varying business conditions
  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure forecast inputs are aligned and assumptions are well-documented
  • Track and report on forecast accuracy metrics, identifying root causes of variance and recommending model improvements

Standard Operating Mechanisms & Reporting

  • Support the design and maintenance of standard operating reports and cadenced dashboards that power the rhythm of the commercial business
  • Build and automate recurring reports and data pipelines that reduce manual effort and improve the speed and reliability of insights delivery
  • Document data definitions, reporting methodologies, and analytical processes to ensure consistency and enable knowledge sharing across the team
  • Participate in business review preparation, synthesizing data into executive-ready presentations and performance summaries
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize reporting workflows across the commercial organization

Automation & AI Enablement

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within existing analytical workflows — eliminating repetitive manual tasks and improving throughput
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools and modern analytics platforms to enhance the speed, accuracy, and depth of commercial analysis
  • Explore and pilot the application of machine learning and predictive analytics to commercial use cases such as churn prediction, customer scoring, and territory optimization
  • Stay current on emerging analytics technologies and best practices, bringing forward ideas for how new tools can be applied to solve business problems
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to improve data infrastructure and accessibility in support of advanced analytics goals

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as an analytical partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Commercial Operations leadership — translating business questions into analytical frameworks and delivering answers with clarity
  • Support ad hoc analytical requests with speed and precision, balancing urgency with analytical rigor
  • Contribute to a data-driven culture by sharing insights, educating stakeholders on data interpretation, and advocating for evidence-based decision-making
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives where analytical support is needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence, sales operations, or a related analytical function
  • Or, advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence, sales operations, or a related analytical function
  • 5+ years of managerial experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization, Salesforce, and BI tools — Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent — including the ability to build production-quality dashboards from scratch
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, join, and transform large datasets independently
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or building commercial forecasting models with quantifiable accuracy improvements
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or Python/R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and modeling
  • Strong analytical storytelling skills — the ability to take complex data and communicate it clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of independence and accountability
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and their underlying data structures
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts or predictive modeling techniques applied in a commercial context
  • Experience with automated reporting pipelines or data orchestration tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree a plus
