A Commercial Loan Documentation Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation, review and management of loan documentation for the commercial loan portfolio of the bank.  This role ensures that loan documents are complete, accurate and compliant with internal policies, regulatory requirements and loan approval terms. A Commercial Loan Documentation Manager oversees the Commercial Loan Document Preparation area of the bank and works with the Director of Loan Operations to ensure processes and procedures are efficient.
 
Expectations:
  • Prepare and review commercial loan documents, including real estate loans, for all bank market areas.
  • Ensures loan documentation is in compliance with loan approvals, bank policy and state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the commercial loan documentation team, including pipeline management, process and procedure updates and overall quality control of the department.
  • Review documentation for title work, appraisals, environmental reports, flood certificates and UCC searches for various loan types.
  • Work with Relationship Managers for proper documentation of complex commercial loans.
  • Work closely with Closing Attorneys and Relationship Managers on attorney prepared loans to verify accuracy of loan terms and documents.
  • Review and resolve more complex loan documentation issues.
  • Ensure accuracy of various loan coding for proper loan reporting.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as requested by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related degree preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5+ years of commercial loan documentation experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • High level of knowledge of commercial loan products and documentation.
  • Previous experience with Laser Pro, preferred.
