About the Role

Springborn Staffing is partnering with a highly respected regional insurance agency to find a dedicated Commercial Lines Account Manager. In this role, you will act as the vital professional link between clients, the agency, and carrier underwriters. We are looking for a team-oriented, self-motivated professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to retain established accounts while spotting new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, communicating clearly regarding policies, costs, consequences, and obligations.
  • Daily Account Operations: Respond to daily calls and requests for ID cards, binders, Broker of Record (BOR) letters, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy amendments.
  • New Business & Renewals: Handle marketing for new business and renewals, which includes preparing applications and proposals, rating, and collaborating with Producers on remarketing efforts to ensure proper placement and coverage.
  • System Documentation: Keep meticulous records of all client activity within the agency management system, ensuring timely follow-up with both clients and carriers.
  • Administrative Support: Review monthly renewal lists to update coverages, process client invoices, order updated carrier loss runs, and coordinate with the Accounting Department on agency-billed accounts. Review and process mail using established procedures.
  • Professional Development: Participate in educational seminars and workshops to continuously improve customer service and sales skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $45,000 – $75,000 annually (dependent on experience, skills, and certifications).
  • Additional Earnings: Commission opportunities on new business.
