Commercial Lines Account Executive, Team Manager - Property & Casualty

At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We're seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive, Team Manager who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What You'll Do / Your Impact

Client Partnership & Risk Strategy

  • Serve as a market and subject‑matter leader for Commercial Lines within the region
  • Support client retention by ensuring consistent, high‑quality service aligned with Alera Group service standards
  • Proactively manage new business activity in partnership with the Sales Team, including cross‑sell and account development opportunities
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, carriers, and community partners to support growth and market presence

Operational Excellence

  • Lead and develop an efficient and effective commercial lines operation that supports service delivery, retention, and new business flow
  • Remove obstacles that prevent team members from performing at their highest level
  • Ensure team proficiency with agency technology, systems, and tools to maximize efficiency
  • Hold periodic meetings with team members to identify operational challenges and guide solution development
  • Ensure training objectives are established and achieved for each role within the team

Strategic Contribution

  • Drive regional growth and profitability goals through effective planning, execution, and follow‑through
  • Review carrier books to maximize revenue potential and recommend strategic adjustments as needed
  • Participate in marketing and pursuit of new business opportunities
  • Lead by example, modeling accountability, professionalism, and Alera Group values
  • Mentor and coach team members while developing future leaders within the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Active Insurance Producer License
  • Strong financial and risk assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients, service teams, carriers, and business partners
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams in a commercial insurance environment

Preferred

  • Prior experience managing or leading Commercial Lines teams
  • Strong understanding of market trends, coverage changes, and carrier strategies
  • Demonstrated thought leadership within Property & Casualty insurance

Compensation:

Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year

Eligible for performance-based bonus: Yes
