Commercial Lending Business Analyst

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with commercial and syndicated lending expertise to translate requirements into specifications and data models for engineering teams. This role requires strong Loan IQ experience, advanced SQL skills, and the ability to support system integration, testing, and validation across lending lifecycle processes.

Description

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed technical specifications for engineering teams.
• Act as the SME for commercial lending processes across deals, facilities, drawdowns, payments, fees, and pricing.
• Query and validate data in the Loan IQ database using SQL to troubleshoot issues and confirm system behavior.
• Design and support data mappings, integrations, and event-driven data flows with engineering and data architecture teams.
• Lead and coordinate testing activities including SIT and UAT, ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements.

Profile

• 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Systems Analyst in banking or financial services.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Finastra Fusion Loan IQ and its underlying data model.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience querying relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Deep knowledge of corporate lending, syndicated loans, and related lifecycle processes.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
